Recently we came across an online article which mentioned about an announcement by Goldman Sachs, that it would not assist a client company, if it has an all-male board. Surely it gave me a comforting sense that at least some firm initiatives are being taken to get the women in real business. Moreover, it also struck a chord in me and made me think about Indian Women. Especially women entrepreneurs in various economic sectors.

Given the current pandemic situation that has shaken the world economy, we see this as an opportunity for women entrepreneurs in India. This lockdown and slowdown has not left a single industry unaffected. In the coming days, we will come across many firms being in bad debt’s, huge economic losses and loss of clients from western countries. This gives a window opportunity to the new comers. Educated wives who could not make through the interview barriers of the MNCs, those who took maternity breaks but could not join back, those who had huge determination but no investment capital in hand, those who had everything in hand but business, etc. We

see them all as the potential business entrepreneurs of emerging India.

Indian Economy is an amalgamation of a number of factors. Farming being its major factor which churns the economy at the grassroot level. Women in farming sector have been giving their 200% since time immortal. What about women from urban India? We propose that every woman should stand strong and be a part of the economic process not just to uplift her family, but the country as whole.

Talking about the opportunity for women entrepreneurs, branding and projecting your business is the need of the hour. We think one should spend time and introspect on once weaker sides, analyse and work on ways to improve. We find women spending time in polishing the brightest sides of her business, We think equal time should be spent to overcome the drawbacks and excel in the weaker aspects.

Many companies in India which were started by women entrepreneurs have reached greater heights not only in the Indian market, but worldwide. The pandemic situation has affected millions of people and eventually that many businesses. We should make the most out from this situation and use it in our favour. Considering the huge investment that shall flow in Indian market, there is enormous opportunity and businesses that shall have a huge market, demand and scope in the coming days.
